ESR

Electron spin/Paramagnetic resonance (ESR/EPR) is a non destructive, spectroscopic technique that is used to detect the transitions induced by electromagnetic radiation between the different energy levels of electron spins in the Presence of static magnetic field. The ESR spectrum is based upon the absorption of microwave radiation by an unpaired electron in a paramagnetic substance, to transition between energy levels when it is exposed to a strong magnetic field. It is plotted against intensity vs the strength of magnetic field.
